Who Can Join RTO/ERO
Membership is not automatic upon retirement. You must apply?
RTO/ERO membership is open to all individuals who have been employed by and are retiring from an educational institution: office administrators, custodians, educational assistants, college instructors and university professors.
So if you know of anyone about to retire who fits the above criteria, let her/him know about RTO/ERO.

Transferring RTO Membership
Are you - or is someone you know - living in or near Perth, Smiths Falls,
Carleton Place, Almonte or Pakenham, but your/their RTO membership is with a
previous district? We would be pleased to have anyone who fits that
category transfer their RTO membership to this district. We are comprised
of almost 420 members, with social events being attended by only 40 to 90,
which makes it easier to get to know other retired teachers in the area.
