Travelling outside your province/Canada?
Should you encounter a medical emergency while travelling outside your province of residence, including outside Canada, with your spouse and/or dependent children, Mondial Assistance (formally World Access) offers assistance to Extended Health Care participants with your eligible expenses.
... Please ensure that you:
1. Contact Mondial Assistance as soon as possible, but no later than within 48 hours of the emergency. If Mondial Assistance is not contacted within 48 hours, payment will be limited to $2,000 per insured person per trip. If you are not able to do so because you are medically incapacitated, someone else should call as soon as is reasonably possible.

2. Travel with your RTO/ERO Group Benefits Program ID Card, your provincial health card number, and the RTO/ERO Plan Identification Number 9092 (Base Plan) and/or 9265 (Supplemental Travel Plan).
3. Leave a copy of the information in #2 above and the telephone numbers for Mondial Assistance with a family member or friend.
4. Travel with your RTO/ERO Out-of-Province/Canada Travel booklet.
Be sure to read all the information found in the Health Wise 2008 pull-out found in the Fall 2008 Renaissance magazine. It explains what happens when Mondial Assistance has been notified that a medical emergency has taken place.
